Childcare Funding Options
Universal 15 hrs funding, Working parents 30 hrs and 2 year-old funding.
- All 3 and 4-year-old children are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare per week, regardless of their parents’ income or working status, starting from the term after their third birthday until they start school.
- To be eligible for 30 hours free childcare in England, your child must be aged 9 months to 4 years old and you (or your partner, if you have one) must earn the minimum equivalent of 16 hours a week at the National Minimum Wage (or living Wage) and have an adjusted net income below £100,000 per year.
- 2-year-olds are likely entitled to 15 hours of free childcare if your family receives certain government benefits, has a low income, or if your child has a disability or is in care.
